The GS300 (and 430) were always so invisible to me but lately..... I want one. I want one badly, they may not perform on the same level as the germans but they go......and go......and go on top of mostly being owned by people who take care of their cars.
If it weren’t for wegenbelasting (and fuel prices tbh) I would totally jump on one.

It really seems that Lexus’ (Lexii?) are driven by older people here in Europe, in fact my old neighbor had a dark blue GS300 which blew my mind when I was about 6 or 7 years old back then. Fuel prices and road tax (wegenbelasting is a cool word though) may be relatively high but reliability makes up for it imo.

Wegenbelasting is not a cool thing, though. Nor is BPM.

Oh I believe you. Thank god that KFZ-Steuer in Germany is not that bad. The insurance really bends you over and slaps you.

I always thought this car looks great in the solid red it was offered in inside of Japan on the Aristo. I can understand why it wasn’t offered in the Lexus paint selections. At least we got the red and yellow on the IS300, which worked fine, even for the Lexus brand. I’ve had a 300 and 430 the last couple of years, and can’t give them up, they are just such solid reliable cars that need the owner to inject the *handling* and soul into them to make them perform.

Solid red definitely suits the GS rather well unlike comparable German cars imo. It’s quite interesting what the car is capable of with modifications. The third gen isn’t bad either

Big seemed to have had a thing for Lexus.
